College eligible vs College ready College readiness is more than meeting requirements—it’s about having the skills, habits, and mindset to succeed.
Soft vs Hard Skills Students need both technical knowledge and essential life skills—communication, problem-solving, and adaptability—to succeed beyond high school.
Middle school → Grade 12 progression CCR is not a one-time event—it’s a developmental pathway from early exploration to decision-making.
CBOs and Partnerships Strong pathways are built through collaboration between schools, families, and community organizations.
Understanding college and career readiness starts with knowing the language, systems, and resources that shape postsecondary pathways. This section breaks down key CCR terms and provides direct access to real college and career resources—so students, families, and organizations can make informed decisions with confidence.
My work is grounded in research and shaped by real-world application across educational ecosystems.
Through my research, I evaluated how students build the knowledge and skills necessary for post-secondary success.
College and career readiness should be more than requirements—it should be a clear pathway toward a meaningful future where the student understands all the paths available to them as an informed consumer of their future.
As a mother, I understand how important it is for students and families to feel supported and confident in their decisions.
I believe every individual deserves guidance that helps them understand their options and move forward with purpose.
"Every individual deserves a clear path toward a future they can see and believe in."

My career has worked across schools, districts, state agencies, and community-based organizations, supporting efforts to strengthen college and career readiness through strategy, program evaluation, and measurable outcomes. My approach focuses on helping individuals and organizations move beyond disconnected efforts toward cohesive, scalable systems that truly support individuals.
Through this work, I assist all individuals in answering critical questions: (1) What does readiness actually look like in our system? (2) How do we align our work across stakeholders? (3) How do we measure impact in meaningful ways?
Grounded in Research. Built for Real-World Impact. My work is deeply rooted in my doctoral research focused on evaluating the effectiveness of college and career readiness programming and assessing how students build the knowledge and skills necessary for postsecondary success. My dissertation reflects a commitment to defining, measuring, strengthening, and continuously improving readiness.
What real-world effects has my work had? As the lead grant director, I executed a 7-year, $25.8M US Department of Education grant initiative and produced measurable program outcomes. I influenced the integration of college and career readiness language within school systems, working directly with students, families, colleges, and community partners.
How have these experiences shaped my perspective? My work is informed not only by research and professional experience but also by real-life experience. As a first-generation college student, I navigated these systems without a clear roadmap, relying on my persistence, self-direction, and dedication to what is possible. That real experience continues to shape my commitment to ensuring that others have access to clearer, more supportive pathways that are equitable for all.
I have worked directly with students and families for over 20 years, listening to their needs and understanding the challenges they face in navigating complex decisions about the future. This perspective allows my approach to these systems to be grounded in reflection, understanding, and the student at the center of this work who has a voice.
As a professional. As a parent. I understand the importance of helping young people see what is possible for their future—and giving families the tools and confidence to support them. I believe that every student deserves access to guidance that is clear, supportive, and actionable—and that every family should feel empowered, not overwhelmed, in the process.
If you’re ready to bring greater clarity, alignment, and impact to your college and career readiness work, I’d be glad to partner with you.
